Rally DetailThursdayA "Welcome" party is being hosted by Legacy Harley-Davidson located at 1315 Althoff Ave. in Effingham. (Check the link on the home page of this website for maps you can view and print.) You are all invited to share in good food, good refreshments, good entertainment, good deals, and, of course, great people! Friday We get started early Friday morning when the registration booth opens at 8:00 am. You can begin your fun immediately as we have a poker run, an observation ride, and a walking/riding observation ride ready to go and continuing throughout the rally. At 10:00 am, you'll want to meet at Legacy H-D as we offer a guided ride through the local countryside with views of some of the local scenic lakes. Get there early and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and fresh donuts, cookies, and brownies at the Central Illinois - Effingham Chapter booth. Throughout the day there will be safety seminars, tech talks, contests, games, and excitement for all to enjoy. And .... Friday night you will be entertained with a Private Party in the brand new Rosebud Theater with air-conditioning and luxury seating. The music and the entertainment are sure to rock you. Saturday The City of Effingham will be there with hot coffee and a delicious breakfast ready to give you the nourishment you'll need to complete this full day of fun. Once again, we're prepared to get you going early as the registration booth opens at 7:00 am. The poker run and observation rides continue today. Just make certain you get your scores turned in by 4:00 pm this afternoon! But ... if you're brave enough, you'll want to meet at Legacy H-D at 9:00 am ready to risk being tracked down by the revenuers as we all mount up and make a cross-country Moonshine Run. With the loyal assistance of the locals, Central Illinois - Effingham Chapter, we'll all remain safe, so you have no excuse not to be there! The safety seminar will once again be presented for those who missed it Friday. Set your alarms as you'll want to be back on site for the field games and bike show this afternoon. Sign-ups begin at 1:45 pm. After the show, look for instructions and directions in the ballroom as we all gather together with our beautiful motorcycles and stage for a parade through the local communities. The public loves this as much as we do so make sure you're ready to show off - just a little. We'll be back in time to share in the closing ceremonies where we'll have introductions, award presentations, the ever important prize monies, thank you's to all, and an invitation to next year's rally in Springfield, IL. But don't go away ... after the rally you still have choices and guaranteed fun for all. The Rosebud Theater is planning a concert with big name entertainment sure to please. Details are still being completed but we'll announce them here as they become available. And ... don't forget that party continues over at Legacy H-D where the good food, good deals, and good people are sure to please!
